Jobs / Livery Vacancies

Full time Instructor wanted for busy and expanding Riding School & Competition Centre. We are an expanding yard based in the beautiful Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire.

As part of our pro-active facility you must be very personable and also minimum BHSAI or UKCC equivalant qualified. We are looking for a person who can work on their own initiative and who will take charge when needed. In addition to your teaching responsibilities and training of apprentices towards their Keits NVQ’s and BHS exams, light yard duties will be part of your daily routine as well as schooling client’s horses. You will be heavily involved in our on site Pony Club so experience in this field is essential.

We regularly hold shows on site and you are welcome to compete in these on your own horse or using our own. There is great career potential for the right candidate. We offer excellent rates of pay, own horses are welcome and there is onsite accommodation if required.

For more information please call us on 01844 275 139 or email

Widmer Equestrian Centre is pleased to host the High Wycombe Branch of Riding for the Disabled on Tuesday and Friday afternoon during school term time.

The Tuesday group teaches eight young ladies from Alfriston School in Beaconsfield the first stages in horse riding and encourages them to achieve grades in relevant RDA tests. The group is run entirely by volunteers and, as usual in such situations, is usually short of helpers. So if you like working with children and/or horses please come along to Widmer’s indoor school at around 1:00pm on Tuesdays and find out if you want to help.
