Widmer Equestrian Centre has been recognised for having outstanding facilities. We are affiliated to the British Horse Society for our Riding school and facilities as well as our livery yard. We are awarded the ‘Highly recommended’ title. We are also council licensed and have a 5 star rating showing us to have outstanding standards and we meet all the higher standards set out by DEFRA.
We are approved by British Dressage and regularly run ‘High Profile’ events such as the International Young Horse classes and we have just completed our 3 year tender for the Petplan Area Festival Semi Finals 2017 to 2019. Every May and September we run two big festivals of dressage spanning over 3 days with stabling, hospitality and gala evenings. We start at prelim and run through to Inter I. These events run indoors and outdoors with podium prize givings.
We are a Pony Club Centre and are approved by The Pony Club. We offer membership to riding enthusiast who do not have their own horses and ponies but still want to attend rallies and work through their badges and exams. We use our riding school horses for these sessions.
We have very good relationships with local accredited trainers, Pony Club Branches and Riding clubs and regularly have rallies, lessons, venue hire and camps.
All of our facilities are maintained to a high standard. We are constantly expanding and improving the Centre to keep it as up to date and professional as possible. Our facilities are used for a number of different events such as dressage, show jumping, one day events on grass and on surfaces, training, demonstrations and lots more.
