A fun, relaxed morning of dressage with Jamey and the team.
You will enter this as a competition and will get start times for warming up and for riding your test.
You will be required to dress smart but you do not need to go and buy expensive equipment. A shirt and tie with a v neck jumper would look nice with jodphurs. If you have a pony club jumper , great! For competitions beige or white jodphurs are normally worn but don’t go out and buy special stuff ! Dark colours will be perfect for this competition too.
At the end of your class you will receive your score sheet and rosettes will be given to placed riders. Prize giving times will be displayed with the start times. Sheets will not be handed out until the competition class has finished
We will be running two levels
Intro A dressage test. (walk and trot only)
Prelim 12 dressage test. (walk trot canter)
Jamey can run through tests in your private lessons leading up to the competition . When you enter the competition, a copy of the test will be emailed to you to learn. You can have callers
We will group you up in 4’s or 6’s . We will warm everyone up together for 15 mins then one by one you will do your test. We estimate each group lasting no more than 1hr 30mins . Parents, partners, friends and family are welcome to spectate. ( no more than 4 per rider)
Times will be posted on our website 2 days before the competition
When you enter, please pop in the notes your 3 favourite horses or ponies- we will try our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee your selection ( not everyone can ride Bob and Blaze )
This is fun relaxed show that we hope you will get involved in.
ALL ages welcome. Riders must be walking, trotting and cantering , even if they just do the walk trot test- this is for safety when you are all warming up together.
