Riding School

We are a family run Equestrian Centre where all ages and levels of experience are welcome. Widmer Equestrian Centre is a BHS approved centre.We run lots of activities for children during the school holidays ranging from own a pony days,gymkhana afternoons to birthday parties. Tuesday to Friday between 10am and 3pm all adult riding lessons are HALF PRICE!!! Please check our online calendar for upcoming events.

What to wear

If you already own some or all of your own kit we will still ask to see the standard / condition / history / fit and wear of you hat.We hire our hats out free of charge. You will need to wear welly boots or shoes with a small heel and a little bit of grip. No open toed shoes / trainers / heavy walking boots or boots with a zip on the inside. Glove are highly recommended. Trousers / tracksuit bottoms / leggings are suitable. Jeans can really rub on the seams. You may get a little warm whilst out riding so layers are recommended. Always dress according to the weather conditions. A full riding wardrobe can be purchased from Widmer feeds country store.

We offer tuition everyday except Mondays. We teach our riders from 4 years old and have no upper age limit but please note our upper weight limit is 13 1/2 stone.

Cancellation policy ~

Weekdays 24 hours notice of cancellation is required during term time. 48 hours notice of cancellation is required during school holidays .

Weekends 48 hours notice of cancellation is required on the weekend

Book and pay for 5 lessons in advance receive the 6th lesson 1/2 price. Book and pay for 10 lessons in advance and receive the 11th one free

Birthday Parties

A riding party is a great way to celebrate a special occasion for a riding enthusiast

Our birthday parties are group riding sessions for up to 8 riders. All riders must be over 4 years old. The 1 hour group sessions are done to music and are made up of gymkhana races. All abilities are catered for- from semi experienced to complete novices. Hats up to the current E.U standard are available to hire free of charge. Cost~ £35.00 per child.
